Certificate Applied Theology with Youth Ministry
The Certificate with Youth Ministry will:
provide you with training in youth ministry
equip you for the challenges of youth ministry
enable you to explore your gifts and abilities
provide solid biblical and theological foundations for youth ministry
Certificate Applied Theology with Pastoral Care
The Certificate with Pastoral care will:
provide you with training
equip you for the challenges
enable you to explore your gifts and abilities
provide solid biblical and theological foundations for pastoral care
Semester dates - Daytime
All daytime classes are delivered on Tuesday and Wednesday. Attendance can be on-site or on Zoom.
Semester 1 - Tuesday 8th September to Wednesday 16th December 2026.
Semester 2 - Tuesday 19th January to Wednesday 12th May 2027.
Semester dates - Evening
This Certificate programme will be delivered over a Live Zoom class each Monday at 7 pm.
Monday 7th September 2026 to Monday 10th May 2027.
Admissions Criteria
All candidates will demonstrate:
active engagement in some form of Christian ministry,
appreciation of and respect for ÐÓ°ÉPro’s ethos,
an ability to study at third level.
Entry routes to the HE Certificate programme
Academic entry: Irish Leaving Certificate: 240 points or equivalent
AP(E)L: You may apply for entry to the programme, or for credit transfer, on the basis of Accredited Prior Learning (APL) or Accredited Prior Experiential Learning (APEL).
Associate status entry: you will be required to demonstrate that you are able to work at BA level by successfully completing a semester as an associate student. Upon successfully completing and passing the modules in the first semester you can enrol for the full BA programme and transfer credits gained.
International students:
1. Non-EU/EEA/United Kingdom citizens/residents.
Due to Irish Immigration regulations, ÐÓ°ÉPro is not permitted to accept applications from those who require a student visa to study in Ireland.
2. EU/EEA/United Kingdom citizens/residents.
Non-native speakers of English must have an IELTS certificate or equivalent with a minimum score of 6.0. You will also be required to demonstrate the equivalence of any qualifications to Irish/UK standards.
Bursaries: ÐÓ°ÉPro has a small bursary fund for students who are serving the Irish Church and have financial needs. Please contact our Bursar for more information.

Full-time - (1 year) €4,500 per year
Part-time - (2 years) €2,400 per year
HE Certificate evening course: €1,650 per year
